Bird under the bridge

Description 

“Bird under the bridge” unfolds a quiet, almost floating scene between architecture and inner space. In cool shades of gray, blue, and silver, a landscape opens up that shows less of a concrete place than a state of transition. The implied bridge arches over the image like a shelter, while the bird appears underneath – not clearly defined, but embedded in lines, scratch marks, and translucent layers of paint. Using the mono-sgraffito technique, fine carvings and overlays are created that convey both movement and stillness. Light seems to rise from within the composition, as if something delicate is asserting itself beneath the heavy structure of the bridge. The work speaks of retreat and observation, of the place between the outside world and interiority, where protection, vulnerability, and quiet hope are intertwined.
