Hidden Voices (1974–1976) is an expressive original created in the mono-sgraffito technique, measuring 30 × 49 cm. The work depicts several figures and animal-like beings meeting in a quiet, almost mysterious scene.
Fine, incised lines meet soft color gradients in shades of gray, blue, and warm ochre. The figures appear minimalist yet intense in their expression—as if they are communicating with one another without using words. It is precisely this tension that makes the image particularly fascinating.
The composition thrives on layers and suggestions: forms emerge, disappear again, and leave room for interpretation. This creates a calm yet profound visual effect that repeatedly captures the viewer's attention.
This piece is a typical example of the experimental phase of the 1970s, in which technique and imagination merge into an independent, unmistakable visual language.
