Product Description
Turkish Birds (1975) unfolds a powerful, almost glowing imagery of red, gold, and earth tones. The birds stand confidently at the center of the composition—with large, alert eyes and finely incised lines that dance vividly around their forms.
The mono-sgraffito technique creates a unique surface texture: lines are revealed, color layers appear translucent, and light seems to emanate from within the image. Warm, intense areas of red meet calmer, lighter sections where sketchy forms appear like memories or fragments of a dream.
