"Rendezvous" unfolds as a vast, fairy-tale scene filled with encounters, signs, and quiet movement. Using the mono-sgraffito technique, Ri Meuser von Eschmar combines figures, animals, and symbolic elements over several years into an open pictorial space where intimacy, anticipation, and exchange intensify. People, birds, horses, and floral motifs enter into a silent dialogue without committing to a specific meaning—each being seems to be part of a larger, poetic event. Delicate lines overlap with translucent color fields in warm gold, ocher, and earth tones, interspersed with cool veils of gray and blue. The image feels like a moment of pause just before or after an encounter, in which time and place seem suspended. "Rendezvous" does not tell of a single meeting, but of the very idea of approaching one another: gentle, playful, and full of symbolic openness.
