This work, created between 1989 and 1999, presents a tranquil, almost poetic imagery centered around a large fish. On its back sits a small, almost fairytale-like creature—a combination that may seem unusual at first glance but feels entirely natural within the image.
The composition thrives on this contrast: size and lightness, reality and fantasy merge together. The fish appears calm and powerful, while the small creature above it seems almost weightless—like a thought or an idea being carried along.
The color palette is dominated by warm earth and gold tones, blended with cool nuances of violet and gray. The surface is multilayered and vivid, featuring fine lines, fluid transitions, and a texture that lends the image depth and movement.
