Image Interpretation

Set against a deep midnight blue and nearly black space, a luminous explosion of light and color unfolds in the center. Turquoise rays, golden sparks, and violet condensations burst forth from an inner core—like the birth of a star or a cosmic eruption. The color particles appear sprayed, hurled, almost physically placed into the space. At the same time, an enormous sense of depth is created, as if one were gazing into infinite space.

The work creates a powerful, almost overwhelming presence. It is dynamic, energetic, and at the same time permeated by a quiet vastness. The darkness surrounding the center intensifies the luminosity of the light—a moment of maximum tension between formation and dissolution. The viewer is literally drawn into the scene.

The title "Nova" refers to the sudden, explosive luminosity of a star—a symbol of transformation, energy, and new beginnings. In this work, Ri Meuser von Eschmar reveals an abstract, almost scientific visual language that nevertheless remains deeply poetic. The combination of pigments, light reflections, and layering evokes her experimental technique and makes the work a visual metaphor for both cosmic processes and inner upheavals.
