Product Description
Marionettes (2002) is a work created in the mono-sgraffito technique, depicting a mysterious, almost theatrical scene between fantasy and myth. An elegant figure stands beside a mask-like, animalistic creature that seems both familiar and enigmatic—like a character from an ancient legend or a dream.
The composition functions like a stage: figures appear side by side as if they were part of a silent play. Fine line drawings, transparent layers of color, and symbolic details allow other forms to emerge and vanish in the background.
Bold shades of blue and violet meet warm nuances of orange and pink. The characteristic sgraffito texture creates a vibrant surface where lines, colors, and structures blend into one another, lending the work a distinct sense of depth.
