Product Description

Madame Jiji from the 1970s is a finely crafted black-and-white composition full of imagination and narrative detail. On 24 × 35 cm, a poetic world of figures unfolds in which human forms, animals, and playful ornamentation merge with one another.

The delicate linework lends the work both lightness and depth. Each figure seems part of its own little story, while the overall image forms a harmonious, almost theatrical scene. Despite the reduced color palette, a powerful expressiveness emerges through structure, rhythm, and a wealth of detail.
