Product Description
Luminous Hour (1973–1983) is a multi-layered work created using the mono-sgraffito technique that evolved over a long creative period. Within 33 × 45 cm, a dense, poetic world of figures unfolds in shimmering shades of blue, green, and gold, layered like veils of light.
Faces, birds, and delicate lines appear and disappear simultaneously—as if they were emerging from an inner glow. The textured surface gives the image depth and movement, while the soft color transitions create an almost ethereal, dreamlike atmosphere.
The work feels like a frozen moment between day and night—a “luminous hour” in which reality and fantasy flow into one another. An expressive original with sensitive, narrative visual language.
Was ist Monosgrafitto?
Monosgrafitto ist eine einzigartige Maltechnik, die Ri Meuser von Eschmar über Jahrzehnte entwickelt und verfeinert hat. Dabei wird Farbe in mehreren Schichten aufgetragen und noch im feuchten Zustand durch gezieltes Einritzen und Abtragen wieder freigelegt.
