Guardian of the Blossom Time (1987–1989) is a poetic work in the mono-sgraffito technique, in which nature, fantasy, and symbolism merge. Two bird-like beings flank a lush vase of flowers in the center of the composition—as if guarding it like silent sentinels.
The color palette consists of warm earth and copper tones that blend with soft shades of blue and green. The flowers in the center appear as a luminous focal point of the image, while fine lines, small floral shapes, and delicate textures give the work a lively, organic depth.
The sgraffito technique creates subtle surface structures that combine light and color in a unique way. The figures appear both playful and mysterious—as if they belonged to a fairytale, timeless world.
