Product Description
Himmelburg (2006) is an atmospheric work in mono-sgraffito technique that floats between dream and architecture. The 30 × 40 cm composition depicts a mysterious, tower-like castle that seems to grow out of dark, deep color spaces. Bright, almost crystalline structures lie over the surface like light and frost, while individual reddish accents in windows and details provide vibrant contrasts.
The interplay of gold, blue, and black nuances creates a mystical, nocturnal mood – as if the castle stood between heaven and earth in its own cosmos. The sgraffito technique gives the work a palpable texture and depth, making light and shadow appear particularly intense.
Presented in a black mat in the 50 × 70 cm format, the picture gains additional elegance and a strong spatial effect. Himmelburg is an expressive original that harmoniously unites imagination, architecture, and emotional atmosphere.
