Golden Castle (1995) is a warmly luminous work measuring 50 × 35 cm, executed with Silberpuran foil, which gives the surface a special depth and radiance. The composition shows a stylized castle complex, embedded in an almost fluid, atmospheric environment.
Golden, ochre, and reddish nuances dominate the image and create an intense, almost glowing color effect. The architectural forms appear deliberately soft and slightly dissolved – walls, towers, and archways merge into one another and seem as if formed from light and color.
The use of Silberpuran foil creates subtle reflections that vary depending on the angle of view, giving the work a vibrant, iridescent surface. This makes the castle feel not static, but rather like a place between memory and imagination.
