Product Description
Spring Devotion (1989–1991) is an expressive work using the mono-sgraffito technique on a 50 × 35 cm surface. The composition depicts two standing figures in quiet contemplation, surrounded by symbolic elements such as birds, plant forms, and a mirror-like window image.
The color palette is characterized by vibrant shades of green, warm earth tones, and soft blue accents. Fine lines and transparent layers of color lend the work depth and an almost meditative atmosphere. The scene appears calm and composed – like a moment of inner reflection during the transition from winter to spring.
Typical of the sgraffito technique, the exposure of underlying layers creates lively textures and subtle contrasts. The work was offered for 1,400 DM at the time of its creation and belongs to the mature creative phase of these early 1990s.
A poetic original that combines spirituality, nature, and human closeness in a quiet, harmonious visual language.
