Etruscan Marie (1989–1999) combines myth, music, and movement in an atmospheric mono-sgraffito composition. Spanning 30 × 40 cm, a lively scene unfolds with dancing figures, an instrument with an antique feel, and maritime elements such as fish and a boat—a poetic world caught between history and fantasy.
Warm shades of brown and gold meet cool tones of blue and green, creating a harmonious, slightly ethereal mood. The lines appear spontaneous and narrative, while the sgraffito technique gives the surface texture and depth. In its appearance, the work is reminiscent of ancient depictions, yet it remains firmly anchored in a modern, individual visual language.
Set in a dark red mat measuring 50 × 70 cm, the work gains additional presence and elegance. Etruscan Marie is an expressive original that unites music, mythology, and movement in a unique visual world.
