Product Description
Once Upon a Time (1989–1991) is a poetic work in mono-sgraffito technique measuring 50 × 35 cm. Two figures stand calmly opposite each other, connected by a small, delicate figure held between their hands – a moment full of intimacy, symbolism, and silent communication.
The imagery unfolds in vibrant shades of green with warm orange and earthy accents. Birds, faces, and symbolic elements appear in the pictorial space, lending the composition a fairy-tale-like, almost timeless atmosphere.
The fine lines of the sgraffito technique and the textured surface create depth and movement, while the figures appear both calm and detached. The work is reminiscent of a visual narrative – like a scene from a fairy tale or an inner memory.
Once Upon a Time combines fantasy, symbolism, and human connection into a calm, poetic pictorial composition.
