Poseidon's Elephant (2001) is a poetic mono-sgraffito work that playfully combines mythology and fantasy. Measuring 44 × 30 cm, a golden-yellow elephant appears to stand above the water, surrounded by fish, birds, and floating figures.
The composition feels light and fairytale-like: delicate lines, transparent layers of color, and soft transitions in shades of pink, blue, and green create a dreamy underwater atmosphere. The elephant appears as a symbolic creature – between land and sea, reality and imagination.
The sgraffito technique gives the work a fine, lively texture, while the restrained, bright color palette underscores the lightness of the motif. Poseidon's Elephant is an imaginative original with a humorous yet poetic aura.
