Product Description
A Fairy Dreams (1999) is a work created using the mono-sgraffito technique and depicts a poetic, fairytale scene full of imagination and movement. At its center is an elegant, almost floating figure contemplating a small picture of a butterfly – as if she were looking into another world herself.
Surrounding her are other figures, animals, and small creatures that seem to emerge from a dream. The composition feels light and fluid: forms drift through the pictorial space, meeting one another and partially dissolving back into the background.
Soft gray and blue tones blend with warm gold and ochre hues. The characteristic sgraffito texture creates a vibrant surface in which lines, colors, and transparent layers merge together.
A Fairy Dreams feels like a visual dream world full of characters, memories, and fantasy – an expressive original from the artist's late creative period.
