Created between 1989 and 1993 by Ri Meuser von Eschmar (1927–2018), Colourful Bird is one of her most luminous works — intense violets, turquoise and gold rendered in her Silberpuran technique, a silver-based process that makes the surface shift and shimmer in changing light. Four years in the making, it carries a density that rewards every closer look.
Her work was exhibited in over 350 shows worldwide, including Harrods London and the Galleria dell'Arte Florence.
