Product Description
Castle of Dreams (1992–1993) is an atmospheric work created using the mono-sgraffito technique, depicting a mysterious, almost cosmic landscape. Deep shades of violet, blue, and black form the background for luminous points of light that appear like stars or sparkling memories within the pictorial space.
In the depths of the composition, shadowy forms can be discerned – structures reminiscent of towers, walls, or a distant castle. The architecture does not appear clearly delineated, but rather emerges from flowing layers of color, traces of light, and textured surfaces. This creates the impression of a castle made more of dreams and memories than of stone.
Golden and bright light accents provide strong contrast to the dark areas, lending the work a mysterious, almost nocturnal atmosphere. The characteristic sgraffito texture ensures a vibrant surface where colors, lines, and structures merge into one another.

Monosgrafitto ist eine einzigartige Maltechnik, die Ri Meuser von Eschmar über Jahrzehnte entwickelt und verfeinert hat. Dabei wird Farbe in mehreren Schichten aufgetragen und noch im feuchten Zustand durch gezieltes Einritzen und Abtragen wieder freigelegt.
