In this work, Ri Meuser von Eschmar seems to have captured the moment a dream dissolves into light and becomes something intangible: a castle that was not built, but emerged – from dust, mist, and stars.

"Castle on the Moon" does not depict a structure in the classical sense. Instead, a mysterious, almost ghostly outline rises from the darkness of the background: a tower, a shimmer, a fragment of architecture that appears as if it is only just being formed out of the cosmic mist.

The color palette is deep and mystical – black, gold-green, mist-gray, a touch of blue. Everything moves in gentle currents, as if the image itself were floating in space. Small points of light twinkle like distant galaxies, scattered across the canvas, drawing the gaze ever deeper into this universe of silence and dust.

Through her experimental painting style, Meuser creates an atmosphere that does not want to be explained, but felt:
A quiet vortex, a cosmic hum, a castle that lies between reality and dream.

The upper area of the painting resembles the shadow of an old tower – perhaps a remnant of past civilizations. The lower area, by contrast, glows like the core of a distant galaxy, a place full of possibilities. The artist deliberately leaves it open whether this castle is still coming into being or has stood there for eternity.

"Castle on the Moon" is a work for those who love the mysterious – an image that speaks softly, but with great depth.
It serves as a reminder that the greatest places in our imagination are those we can never fully know.
