Description
In "Color Symphony," color merges into sound. Blue, violet, and light gold enter into a quiet dialogue—like notes weaving themselves into a melody that is not heard, but felt. The work is a sensual moment between matter and spirit, created in Ri Meuser's unmistakable mono-sgraffito technique, in which layer upon layer of pigment is applied, removed, and re-compacted—until the surface begins to live.
The artist does not compose a depiction of the world here, but rather its inner echo. From darkness grows radiance, from movement emerges stillness—and somewhere in the center, an eye seems to awaken, a gaze into the infinite. "Color Symphony" is not a static image, but an experience: a floating in the space between earth and cosmos.
Created in 2006, this work is exemplary of Ri Meuser's late phase, in which she dissolves the boundaries between painting, music, and philosophy. Her colors are not surfaces—they are energies that resonate with one another.
