Visit from the Realm of the Turtles (1990) transports the viewer into a shimmering dream world between myth and fantasy. Created using the mono-sgraffito technique, the work reveals a multi-layered surface with warm copper tones that lend the image a special depth and luminosity.
At the center is a mysterious female figure encountering a richly adorned turtle – like a messenger from another dimension. Surrounded by floating fish, architectural fragments, and atmospheric color fields, a narrative scene full of movement and symbolism unfolds.
