Begegnung vor der Kyrburg (1991) is a poetic world of imagery situated between dream, myth, and inner transformation. Delicate line drawings meet flowing color gradients in shades of blue, ocher, and violet, drifting through the scene like mist. Figures, angelic beings, and a unicorn encounter one another in an open, almost hovering space – as if a moment between doubt and realization were unfolding here.
The composition feels both light and narrative at once. Individual scenes emerge, disappear back into the color field, and leave room for personal interpretation. Characteristic of Ri Meuser, fine linework combines here with translucent layers of paint to create a dreamlike, almost fairy-tale atmosphere.
The work invites contemplation of transitions – of inner clarity, encounter, and transformation. A sensitive original from 1991 that appeals equally to the imagination and to reflection.
